California Articles of Incorporation

The Articles of Incorporation (sometimes also known as a Certificate of Incorporation) is a document required to form a corporation. In many ways, it is the document responsible for creating the corporation. Although the Articles of Incorporation can include such things as the internal affairs of the corporation, special stock preferences and rights and liability of the directors, this Articles of Incorporation is basic, containing only the information required by the state to get your stock corporation up and running. This packet also includes a cover letter which you can use when submitting your certificate.

This package contains: (1) Instructions and Checklist; (2) Information about the Articles of Incorporation (the “Articles”) from the California Secretary of State; (3) Official Instructions from the California Secretary of State on completing the Articles; (4) Articles of Incorporation based on the samples provided by the California Secretary of State; and (5) a cover letter for use when submitting the Articles for filing.
