California Off-Street Vehicle Rental Agreement

Before you rent out a Off-Street Vehicle, Dirt Bike, All Terrain Vehicle (ATV), Dune Buggy or Four-Wheeler vehicle, it is important to have your customers read and sign a comprehensive rental agreement.

This type of agreement serves several important functions: (1) it ensures that both parties understand what is to be expected from the rental, what sort of risks or dangers may be inherent, and what kind of behavior will be expected; (2) it limits the liability of the company or individual renting the vehicle claims filed against that company in the event an injury or injuries occur during the use of the vehicle; and (3) it protects the company/individual against suits by third parties that are injured by the renter’s use of the vehicle, requiring the renter to indemnify the company/individual for any damages or losses resulting from such an eventuality.
