What is a Copyright License Agreement?

By | January 22, 2008

Copyrights in intellectual property such as music, artwork, and poetry can be transferred by the copyright holder to a third party by way of a license.  A Copyright License Agreement allows a third party to use copyrighted material in exchange for a fee or royalty paid to the copyright holder during a specified period of time.  Once the time period is over and the copyright license has expired, all copyrights revert back to the copyright holder.
