What is a Notice of Revocation of a Power of Attorney?

By | February 22, 2008

If or when a Principal or Grantor, that is a person who granted a Power of Attorney, needs to revoke a Power of Attorney that he/she previously granted, it is almost always required that this revocation be done in writing. The Notice of Revocation of Power of Attorney is used by a Principal or Grantor and serves to give notice that the previously granted Power of Attorney has been revoked.  This notice terminates a previous authorization that had been granted to act on someone else’s behalf in legal or business matters.
