Soundtrack Recording Agreement (loan-out)
This Soundtrack Recording Contract (Loan-Out Format) includes the following provisions:
- Parties: The identities of the parties involved including the production company, the lending company and the artist. This provision also includes the title of both the composition and motion picture;
- Services: Company employs lender to cause artist to render musical or vocal services for recording of a movie soundtrack;
- Ownership: Artist’s services are considered a “work for hire” and company shall own all rights in the work including all rights to advertise and sell the soundtrack album;
- Name and Likeness: Lender gives production company the right to use artist’s name, voice, approved photograph and biography in connection with the picture;
- Compensation: Company will pay lender an amount equal to the minimum scale amount for artist’s recording services;
- Royalties: Company will pay lender royalties in an amount as set forth in this agreement;
- Screen Credit: If recording is contained in motion picture, artist will receive screen credit as set forth in the agreement;
- Signatures: Both company and lender must sign the agreement.
