A Decree of Divorce is also known by different names in different states. In some states it is called  Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage, in others  Decree of Dissolution of Marriage or Judgment of Divorce while in other states (which apparently like to cover their bases with the name) it is Final Judgment and Decree of Divorce.

No matter what you call it, the Decree is the legally binding court order, signed by a judge, that declares that a marriage is officially over and enters a judgement that ends the divorce process and makes the tersm of a divorce agreement official.
