What is an Employment Agreement?

An Employment Agreement is a contract entered between an employer and an employee which covers the terms of employment such as duties, salary, length of employment, expense reimbursements, vacations and time off, benefits and more. This type of agreement helps protect both the employee as well as the employer. Some employment contracts also include non-compete agreements, non-disclosure clauses and invention assignment agreements.
