This letter sets out details of the client's legal matter and how costs (such as court costs, copy fees or court reporter fees) will be paid. It also sets forth that the client gives the attorney a forfeiture lien which will attach to any recovery in the case. It is crucial that this arrangement be clearly set forth in writing.
